The Sky Tower invites families to enjoy a new experience these school holidays with The Bad Guys Breakout, running from 20 September to 5 October 2025.

SkyCity’s General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Caroline Ah Chong-Douglas, says the school holiday adventure was designed with fun and adventure for the kids in mind.

“One of the key attractions is Sit & Read in the Clouds, a quiet reading area on Level 53, where children can browse the full collection of The Bad Guys books while enjoying views over Auckland. It’s a peaceful, screen-free activity in a unique setting. As Mr. Wolf says in the film, “I may be bad, but I feel good,” and few things feel better than relaxing with a book above the clouds.” says Ah Chong-Douglas.

Inspired by the popular ‘The Bad Guys 2’ movie in cinemas now, the school holiday adventure features a range of themed activities designed for kids and adults to enjoy together. It’s a chance to see the Sky Tower in a new light while making the most of the school break.

"We wanted to offer something fun that brings families together in a space that feels a little bit magical. The Bad Guys Breakout is a way for tamariki to engage with stories and their imagination while enjoying everything the Sky Tower has to offer," says Douglas.     

Back on the ground floor, families can try the Octopus Twister game; a fun, light-hearted challenge where kids can test their balance and movement, inspired by the teamwork and quick thinking of the characters.

These school holidays, bring the family to Sky Tower and enjoy a light-hearted and memorable day out, together.
