SkyCity gets on board for CRL First Look

Family

SkyCity is preparing to welcome Aucklanders this Saturday as they take their first look inside Te Waihorotiu Station, three weeks before the City Rail Link officially opens.

The First Look event will give visitors the chance to explore the station and learn more about how the new network will operate.

With SkyCity only steps away from the Albert Street exit of Te Waihorotiu Station, there’s plenty happening across the precinct to make a day of it, including special offers, free parking and live music in the atrium.

The opening of the CRL will be a significant change for Auckland, making it much easier for people across the city to reach the CBD via Te Waihorotiu Station, with SkyCity right next door.

“We wanted to get behind the First Look day and give Aucklanders even more reasons to explore Te Waihorotiu and enjoy everything happening around it,” says SkyCity's Head of Marketing Liz Burrett.

On Saturday 22 August, SkyCity will offer:

  • $30 Sky Tower tickets: Take in panoramic views across Tāmaki Makaurau with a special $30 adult walk-up rate at the Sky Tower ticketing desk.
  • Live music in the SkyCity atrium: Korihi duo will perform live from 11am to 2pm.
  • Free parking: Spend $40 when you eat, stay or play at SkyCity and park for free.
  • 20% off All Blacks Experience: Take on the immersive All Blacks Experience, featuring inspiring stories and interactive challenges, with 20% off walk-in tickets.
  • 20% off Wētā Workshop Unleashed: Go behind the scenes and discover the creativity, characters and movie-making magic of Wētā Workshop Unleashed with 20% off walk-in tickets.
  • Saturday dining options: Walk up to Andy’s Burgers & Bar, Fed Deli, Depot or Eighty Fed. Book ahead for Fortuna, Huami or Orbit.
