SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SkyCity) has announced the five-day closure period for the gambling area of the SkyCity Auckland casino following agreement with the Secretary for Internal Affairs. The closure will take place from Monday, 9 September to Friday, 13 September 2024 (inclusive).
Further to the market announcements on 18 July and 22 July 2024, SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited confirms that SkyCity Casino Management Limited and the Secretary for Internal Affairs have agreed that the gambling area of the SkyCity Auckland casino will be temporarily closed over the five-day period from Monday 9 September - Friday 13 September 2024 (inclusive).
Further to its market announcement on 18 July 2024, SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited confirms that the application made by the Secretary for Internal Affairs in September 2023 to temporarily suspend SkyCity Casino Management Limited's New Zealand casino operator's licence has now been formally withdrawn from the Gambling Commission by the Secretary.
SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SkyCity) advises that it has entered into an unconditional agreement to sell its entire shareholding of around 10% in Gaming Innovation Group Inc (GiG), a European-based online gaming platform provider and media services operator.
SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited advises that the Federal Court has today approved the agreement reached by SkyCity Adelaide, the operator of the SkyCity Adelaide casino, and the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre to resolve the civil penalty proceedings commenced by AUSTRAC in December 2022.
SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SkyCity) advises that the High Court of Australia has today granted SkyCity Adelaide Pty Limited (SkyCity Adelaide) special leave to appeal the South Australian Court of Appeal's earlier judgment on the interpretation of the relevant provisions in the Adelaide Casino Duty Agreement dated 27 October 1999 between SkyCity Adelaide and the Treasurer of South Australia (Agreement) which determine the treatment of loyalty points converted to gaming machine play for the purpose of calculating casino duty at the SkyCity Adelaide casino.
SkyCity Entertainment Limited advises that SkyCity Casino Management Limited has reached an agreement with the Department of Internal Affairs to resolve civil penalty proceedings.
The agreement is subject to Federal Court approval. The Federal Court has listed the proceedings for a penalty hearing on 7 June.
