SKYCITY Gives the Ladies a Night of Pampering in Support of Breast Cancer Action Month

30 Sep 2009

Celebrating ten years of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month beginning 1 October SKYCITY will again be lighting Auckland’s most iconic landmark, the Sky Tower, pink for the month of October as part of the global illumination campaign.

A new initiative this year to help raise funds and awareness for what is now being called Breast Cancer Action Month in recognition of the increased awareness of the disease, SKYCITY is offering the ladies of Auckland the ultimate girl’s night out, ‘Makeovers, Manicures and Moet’ with a donation from every ticket sold going to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

The first three Mondays of October (5th, 12th & 19th) will see the Sky Tower play host to the series of events expected to be a sell out with only 100 places at each event available.  Ladies will enter a world of pink and begin their evening with a delicious glass of Moet and Chandon, followed by mini makeovers, massages and live entertainment throughout the night.

Grainne Troute, SKYCITY General Manager, Group Services says SKYCITY is excited to extend support for an issue affecting so many New Zealand women. “After 10 years of lighting the tower pink to highlight the cause, we’re looking forward to adding some fun and a special treat for guests at our fundraising events.”

SKYCITY would like to thank The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and Orlando Flowers for their generous support.

Tickets to ‘Makeovers, Manicures and Moet’ are $60 each and are now on sale at www.ticketek.co.nz
