SKYCITY Auckland Brings Xmas here to Kidz First
03 Dec 2009
Saturday 5 December at 11.30am will see 300 children and their families from the Kidz First Children’s Hospital come together for a cracker of a Christmas party at SKYCITY Auckland.
In attendance at the party will be a number of high profile supporters such as His Worship the Mayor of Manukau City, Len Brown and his wife and daughters, Auckland Rugby’s Tom McCartney, Peter Saili and Charlie Faumuina and Warrior players Brett Seymour, Aaron Heremaia and Bill Toupo.
The party will be an explosion of fun and entertainment featuring face-painters, Scotty the Sky Tower, Geronimo Mouse and Clifford the Big Red Dog, plus of course Santa Claus himself and his merry elf.
Simon Jamieson, General Manager SKYCITY Hotels Group Auckland, says SKYCITY is honoured to support such an important community cause at this special time of year.
“This is an annual occasion for us and we’re thrilled to continue the tradition of this party. The team pulls out all of the stops to provide fantastic food, entertainment and plenty of Christmas cheer for everyone on the day, and we’re proud to be able to offer our support in this way.”
Pam Tregonning, Executive Director for the South Auckland Health Foundation, says it is fantastic that SKYCITY is giving special kids a special Christmas.
“The Kidz First Christmas Party is designed to provide a Christmas celebration for Kidz First community kids. These children are not hospitalised but require long term care by the Kidz First Community paediatric team due to continuing illness or disability. We are so grateful to SKYCITY for their ongoing commitment to Kidz First.”
“This party is exactly what these kids and their families need – loads of fun, lots of treats and a little bit of Christmas magic.”
