New Zealand's top talent to perform at New Zealand premiere of Fame at SKYCITY Cinemas

New Zealand’s top young talent are set to perform for the New Zealand premiere of FAME exclusively at SKYCITY Cinemas Newmarket on Wednesday 23 September 2009.
The premiere will feature live performing arts show prior to the film screening and will feature performances from New Zealand’s Hip Hop champions TMC, this year’s national winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” Justin Haiu and Hannah Key from Starlight Express.
SKYCITY Cinemas are offering the public the unique opportunity to purchase tickets to the event to enjoy a live show of the top talent and be the first in New Zealand to see the film. Tickets priced at $30 include the one hour of live performances, film premiere screening and goodie bag.
Releasing nationwide on Thursday 24 September FAME is the reinvention of the original 1980 hit film, following a talented group of dancers, singers, actors, and artists over four years at the New York City High School of Performing Arts, a diverse, creative powerhouse where students from all walks of life are given a chance to live out their dreams and achieve real and lasting fame.
To celebrate the release C4, Flight Centre and SKYCITY Hotel are giving New Zealander’s the opportunity to show off their talent and get famous in the ultimate talent search THE FAME GAME. The winner of the Fame Game will get to perform alongside the main acts at the New Zealand premiere SKYCITY Cinemas Newmarket on Wednesday 23 September 2009.
